I had been searching the web for a stylish and lightweight fin bag for my travels and it simply didn’t exist… so I decided to design it.
Created for style and functionality, my first collection of Fin Bags are made with water resistant frabric, eco dye, as well as durable drawstrings and a functional shoulder strap. All prints are captured during my ocean adventures on the Nyingglulu (Ningaloo) Reef, Western Australia - a place near and dear to my heart.
Features:
- Waterproof fabric, which can also be used as a wet bag for swimsuits after diving
- Scratch-resistant fabric to ensure the safety of your fins
- Adjustable shoulder strap
- Durable drawstring opening
- Lightweight, adding no extra weight to your luggage
- Can fit x2 sets of fins inside, however I would reccomend flying x1 fin set per bag
- Signed artwork from Maddi (She Who Explores)
TIPS AND TRICKS WHEN FLYING…
As a freelance underwater photographer my jobs have lead me to fly all over the world. But, the one challenge I always had was ‘how do I fly with my fins?’.
Yes, technically freediving fins breach the carry-on measurements but most airlines will allow you to fly with your fins provided they are in a bag … this is where the She Store’s Fin Bags come into play…. BUT being descreet about it will also get you brownie points.
Physically, YES, your fins will fit in the overhead storage compartment - I usually store my fins at the back of the compartment and place my carry-on luggage in front of this.
Fin bags are designed for x1 set of fins, but comfortably fits 2 top to tail - however I don’t reccomend flying like this as the item looks bulky and you are more likely to be pulled up.
I have been on over 15 flights with my freedive fins inside my fin bags this year, and I have had no issues (not to say this can’t happen).
Basically, I’ve designed these bags to make the journey of flying your with fins, easier, but it is not always guaranteed to be successful.
Happy travels!
